- Claudin-1 is positive in low-grade fibromyxosarcoma and this, coupled with positivity for EMA, may lead to a misdiagnosis of perineurioma. GLUT-1 can help distinguish between these two entities with perineurioma usually positive and low-grade fibromyxosarcoma usually negative.
