- Can be used with WT-1 and cytokeratin 5/6 to differentiate epithelioid mesothelioma (positive for all 3 markers) from pulmonary adenocarcinoma (negative for all 3 markers)[2]
- Can be used in differentiating tumors of adrenocortical origin (calretinin positive) from those of adrenal medullary origin (calretinin negative)[1]
