- 12-14 hours/day as first year
- 8-10 hours as senior (split into subspecialty benches so depends on the bench, also don’t gross on Friday, so Friday are lighter.)

Pros:
- Good atmosphere – attendings like teaching, residents are collaborative, strong CP service, Relaxing rural environment with lots of skiing and hiking and no traffic! Good volume of surg path specimens and decent variety of specimens.
Cons:
- Rural location – not ideal for people who love city life.
Do you feel you have:
Adequate preview time?
- Yes – we have a single day surg path schedule with morning signout, afternoon grossing and pm preview – can therefore control to a certain extent how much preview time you have
Adequate support staff (P.A.’s, secretarial, etc.)?
- Yes – 5 PAs who are always willing to answer residents’ questions
Adequate AP Teaching?
- Yes – sign out one on one with attending. Faculty are very dedicated to teaching residents.
Adequate CP Teaching?
- Yes – Busy CP service with many apheresis and ECP procedures, molecular lab with many tests done in-house, comprehensive chem. lab
