Pros: Very friendly environment; supportive program director & attendings; a lot of PA's (always there to help with and explain anything about grossing); large number of AP and CP specimens; AP-CP integrated education; research opportunities: Montefiore medical center has developed a program called clinical looking glass that allows anyone with access to mine for data throughout the entire EMR system. For example, if you wanted to see how many diffuse large B-cell diagnoses were made in the year 2013, that information is readily accessible. This program allows residents, attendings and anyone else who has access to acquire data, that would usually take months to gather, in a single day. Also, now that Montefiore has basically acquired Einstein, we are able to work much closer and utilize much more frequently the basic research labs at Einstein.
