Anatomic and Clinical Pathology ResidencyEdit

Number of residents (per year / total):

  • 13 per year / 34 total

Pros:

  • Excellent didactics, great AP experience (one of the top 5 programs), lots of research funding (e.g. almost all residents go to USCAP), rotate at multiple hospitals and practice environments (including San Fran VAMC, San Fran General Hospital, Moffitt/Long Hospital, new woman and childrens hospital at Mission Bay in 2015), friendly environment (Virchow rounds every Friday at 5 pm which is basically a happy hour with free food and wine), great benefits (housing stipend from University and department increases salary by $12K, book fund is $1 500).

Cons:

  • Multiple sites creates some division, but shuttle service is free and tend to stay at one site for entire rotation (e.g. one month)
